The ad that Obama does not want you to see

Story from the Politico.com

Barack Obama and his jack booted thugs are trying very hard to make sure you never see this ad. They are pressuring television stations and networks not to air it. Even going so far as to threaten to pull the license of any television station that airs it if Obama is elected. It speaks for itself. A factual account of William Ayers the leader of the Weather Underground and close personal friend of Barack Obama's. Ayers is a huge supporter of Obama's politics and ideology. Can you vote for Obama knowing that a man whose terrorist group bombed the U.S. capitol building and killed police officers is some one Barack Obama will go to for advice and support?

Ocean County Democrats Are Always Entertaining

Asbury Park Press Story, click here

The story speaks for itself. The Ocean County Democrat party never ceases to entertain. Never has there been a county political machine so inept. They truly are the three stooges of politics. This election cycle it's the turn of Vincent Greene, the Dems candidate for Ocean County sheriff. It seems Mr. Greene enjoys writing letters to the paper, letters promoting his campaign. Nothing wrong with a little self promotion, however, Vincent took it one step over the line. It seems Vincent Greene likes using the pen name "Ramon Verde" to promote his campaign. Looks like the county Democrats can't even drum up enough support to even write a letter for him.

Wackiness is pretty much the norm for Ocean County Democrats. Who can forget all the entertainment they have given us over the years. From screaming "crime county USA" to calling for the resignation of their county chairman on election night. The best of all was when one of their candidates for county Freeholder accused the Republicans and the County Prosecutors office (at the time an office held by a Democrat appointed by a Democrat Governor) of tapping her home phone. What can I say, thats entertainment.

The Beginning of the End of Digg

digg - Al-Jazeera English Channel 24/7 on Nov 15

I was an early adopter of digg.com, the brainchild of Kevin Rose formerly of the defunct TechTV, a great channel killed by a Comcast acquisition. I loved the innovation that allowed the users of the site to add stories and commentary, and then allowed other users to Digg the story if they thought it was of value. It truly was a brilliant concept. Sadly as time has past, many users of Digg have become abusers, and the value of Digg has started to wane.

The story I have included with this post is about the debut of the Al-Jazeera english channel. The propaganda channel favored by the enemies of the United States that showed, amongst other things, American's being beheaded, and every tirade video the Al-Qaeda can produce, will now be available in english. That would be disturbing enough, now add to that the extremist left wing cabal that now controls Digg and it spells the deathblow of a once great website. No rational thinking person, be they Republican, Democrat, or Independent, would call Al-Jazeera fair. Yet if you read the comments made by the leftist Digg cabal you would think Al-Jazeera is fair and balanced and that every news channel from CNN to Fox News is propaganda. What adds to the cabal's power is the system added in later to Digg that allows users to Digg down or up individual comments. This has given great power to the anti-American cabal as they prop up their own comments and bury any comments of dissent. Since the default view of a Digg story will not show you and comment with -4 Diggs or more, they very handily control the discourse like the socialists they so admire. All speech is free as long as you agree with them.

With control of the discourse in the hands of an extremist minority the days of Digg are most certainly numbered. It is not surprising to me that Kevin Rose is now shopping Digg around to companies like News Corp. hoping that they will offer 150 million dollars or more for the site. Hoping that he can cash in with a well deserved pay day for the greatness that once was Digg without having to deal with the bubble that is soon to burst if major changes are not implemented. Can Digg be saved? Only time will tell. It will take a lot of hard work , and it will take Kevin, is he willing to invest the time in excising the power of the cabal? We shall see.

Nigeria: Leading the world in on-line mugging

FORTUNE: Online scams create "Yahoo! millionaires" - May 29, 2006

Yet another story on why it's stupid to donate computers to Africa. This heart warming story is about a 14 year old Nigerian boy who makes millions of dollars by defrauding people of their credit cards and bank account numbers on-line. Then using the money to buy products on-line, which are then sold in the black market for quick cash.

The next time you hear some bleeding heart talk about how we need to wire Africa for broadband or send them our old computers, think about this quote from the 14 year old cyber mugger named Akin, he says, "White people are too gullible. They are rich, and whatever I gyp them out of is small change to them." If you think this isn't systemic in Nigeria this quote from the article should change your mind: "Some officials, who asked not be identified, said young people are drawn to Internet crime as a way of getting back at a society that has no plans for them. Others see it as a form of reparation for the sins of the West."

Maybe all of us "sinners" should remember how horrible we are the next time someone hits us up for money, food, and technology for Africa.

Verizon gets what it wants, without having to provide FIOS to all of New Jersey

N.J. Assembly OKs Franchise Reform - 5/23/2006 1:44:00 PM - Multichannel News - CA6337124

This law amazes me. It gives Verizon everything it wants. The Democrats who run NJ get a tax increase which is what they want. Then, you may ask, what does the New Jersey consumer get? Nothing if they don't live in a affluent or densely populated part of the state. If they are middle class and live in southern New Jersey they get less then nothing. It is truly amazing to see the "enlightened" Democrats of NJ passing a bill that looks like it was written by Verizon's lawyers.

If your going to give Verizon everything it wants, then it was incumbent upon the New Jersey assembly and senate to make sure that within 5 years ALL of New Jersey would be wired for FIOS. Instead this law gives Verizon 6 years to wire only the most densely populated areas of northern New Jersey. As quoted here from Multichannel News:

"The bill requires buildout within six years, but the standards set in the bill mean that buildout is only guaranteed to county seats and towns with population density of 7,111 per square mile. That pencils out to the 60 most populated communities in the state, most of which are along its northern border...."

The state assembly, senate, and New Jersey Democratic party have shown that they are in the pocket of Verizon, and that, in the end, the New Jersey consumer will come last, if at all.
